Who doesn't love a good sewing book? Almost as much as fabric, right? I love sewing books and have loads, some vintage, some new. I also work in a library with a director who takes my suggestions for new acquisitions seriously. Many a night I have crawled into bed with a sewing manual in my lap and a cup of warm milk in my hands. My favorite authors are Nancy Zieman, Claire Shaeffer, Adele Margolis, Carol Ahles, Roberta Carr and others. Here are reviews on just a few of my faves and not so faves. I will work at keeping this list growing, focusing on more recent publications.
I try to review these books honestly and kindly. I hope you agree.
