Why, oh, why?

I will be off for a while. My husband and I are dealing with the sadness of a second suicide of a young member of my family in less than a year. It is so hard to be a young man today. We hope to work on some home projects together for a bit and I will be back in God's good time. Thank you all,

    I have known grief from the loss of a child that is devastating. Suicide adds another dreadful dimension to that grief. I am so sorry. My prayers for you family and for the dear young man who could not find a way to deal with his life.

    Bunny, you are so right about how difficult it is for young men today. My college age son and more than one of his close friends are going through such struggles. I can not express in words the sadness I feel for you and your family. All I can do is offer prayers for healing and strength for all of those dealing with this.

    Oh Bunny...I wanted to drop to my knees when this post came thru my email. I am so very, very sorry for your entire family! Such heartache & sadness over a young person's death is almost too much to bear & with the addition of purposeful intention, it is incomprehensible.

    I truly understand your pain and sadness. My brother and closest sibling and friend, died of suicide in the mid-1980's. It broke my mother and she was never the same. I still look at his photo with a great deal of sadness. He would be 57 now.

    Any death, especially of a young person is unbelievably sad. But a suicide is doubly tragic as there are so many unanswered questions. And usually so much blame for people who feel they should have seen the signs and done something. The professionals say that if one is determined, they will find a way and have to assume they were mentally unstable at the time. Otherwise they wouldn't have wanted to give their loved ones so much pain. May God's graces cover you all at this time.
